JobAnvil is a Windows desktop app that turns your existing job-alert emails into an automated, scored job search — overnight, on your schedule, locally on your machine.
Most job-search tools either live in the cloud and require granting them OAuth access to your inbox, or they help with one piece — resume tailoring, application tracking, cover-letter generation — and leave the rest to you. JobAnvil is different on both axes: it runs entirely on your computer, with no cloud account, no inbox handed to a third party, and no resume data on someone else's server. And it automates the whole pipeline, from discovering jobs in your existing email alerts through producing deliverable DOCX resumes and cover letters per role.
You set it up once. Connect your inbox (Gmail, Outlook, or any IMAP), tell it what you're looking for, and pick a schedule. Every morning, JobAnvil delivers a daily digest with scored matches, a tailored resume per job, and a cover letter you can send. Subscribers get Managed AI included — no API keys to juggle, no surprise bills. Free-tier users bring their own AI key from any of five supported providers (most have free tiers themselves).
Your data stays on your PC. Always.

Logo, color palette, typography, screenshots — everything you'd need to ship a write-up or partner page.
I built JobAnvil because every existing job-search tool wanted access to my inbox, and I wasn't going to give it to them. The shape of my job search — getting alerts I'd already set up, deciding which were worth applying to, tailoring a resume per job — was the same shape every other employed job seeker has. The bottleneck was per-application work, not discovery.
So I wrote a tool that runs on my own machine, reads my existing alerts via IMAP (read-only, app password), scores every listing against my profile, and tailors DOCX outputs per match. Now it does that for me overnight. By morning I have 4-12 scored matches and tailored documents to send.
If that sounds useful to you, the trial is 7 days, no card. If it's not, the free tier exists in perpetuity — Bring Your Own Key, 5 runs a week. Either way, your data stays on your PC.
