From the founder
I built JobAnvil because every existing job-search tool wanted access to my inbox, and I wasn't going to give it to them. The shape of my job search — getting alerts I'd already set up, deciding which were worth applying to, tailoring a resume per job — was the same shape every other employed job seeker has. The bottleneck was per-application work, not discovery.
So I wrote a tool that runs on my own machine, reads my existing alerts via IMAP (read-only, app password), scores every listing against my profile, and tailors DOCX outputs per match. Now it does that for me overnight. By morning I have 4-12 scored matches and tailored documents to send.
